Nutritional Supplements

Antioxidants improve blood oxygenation which protects the heart from the strain of High Blood Pressure

Vitamin A - 5,000 IU *if pregnant or have liver disease consult doctor before using

Beta carotene - 25,000 IU

Selenium - 200 micrograms

Vitamin W 400 IU *if on anticoagulant (blood thinner) therapy consult doctor before using

Calcium - 500-600 mg twice daily

Magnesium - 300-350 mg twice daily

l-carnitine - 500 mg once or twice daily. Protects the heart, especially if taking beta-blockers

coenzyme Q10 - 100 mg daily; oxygenates tissue (is another antioxidant)

Essential fatty acids - 500-1000mg twice to three times daily; black currant seed oil, borage oil, evening primrose oil, flaxseed oil

Lecithin - 1200 mg twice to three times daily with food; emulsifies fat and is effective in people with a history of alcohol consumption

Potassium - 99mg twice daily; high salt low potassium increases blood pressure. * if taking diuretics consult doctor before using

Vitamin C - 1000mg twice daily; people with vitamin c deficiency are twice as likely to develop high blood pressure
